Cluster User Management

Cluster operations  —  Reference for the administrators and operators who run Nautilus.

This document outlines the steps to manage user roles and permissions within the platform.

Add a User to a Namespace

On the Namespaces page, select the namespace and use its Members tab. Namespace membership corresponds to an Authentik group for the namespace.

Promote a User to Admin

On the Namespaces page, select a namespace the user belongs to, open its Members tab, and choose Make NRP admin… from the ⋯ menu on their row. Adminship is one platform-wide role, not a per-namespace one: it corresponds to the Authentik group “namespace admins”, and lets the user manage every namespace they belong to, and the namespaces under those.

Demote an Admin to User

On the namespace’s Members tab, choose Remove NRP admin… from the ⋯ menu on their row. This removes them from the Authentik group “namespace admins”, so they stop managing every namespace, not only that one. You can only remove adminship from people you promoted.
