Namespace Management

This document outlines the steps to manage Kubernetes namespaces within the platform.

Create a Namesapce

On the Namespaces page, select the parent namespace, open its Subgroups tab, and fill out the form. Then fill in the PI, description and institution on the new namespace’s Details tab.

Delete a Namespace

  1. If it has children (subgroups), move them to parent in Authentik.
  2. Delete from the namespace’s Settings tab on the Namespaces page (NOT AUTHENTIK). The page won’t delete a namespace that still has subgroups.
  3. Remove any exceptions in the portal configuration and any Gatekeeper exceptions.
